This comfortable room is dedicated to Arthur’s island, Procida, which the writer Alberto Moravia described as follows: «Behind the beach, beyond an isthmus of sand, opens up one of Procida’s many harbours: a round inlet, overlooked by two green promontories, and in the background, leaning against the coast, a row of houses. These are the houses for which Procida is or should be famous: species of beehives with soft colours, open and with the cells in full light.

The cells are terraces with densely overlapping arches, with green doors at the bottom of the terraces, red paprika braids dangling from the arches, cloths of all colours hanging in mid-air. Arranged in a circle around the port, these pink, yellow, blue and white houses are all a little lopsided, a little worn, a little dilapidated; it is thought that the wind and the sea have corroded them in the same way as the volcanic coast which, like a shelf, protrudes above them».
